Levi Mc Henry

Born in Los Angeles, Levi grew up in a small northern California town. From an early age, Levi was fascinated with Jazz music. When first enrolled in college, Levi studied Jazz, but he quickly changed to pursue his newly found passion, Spanish. Levi considers his time learning and playing Jazz saxophone as his initial proper introduction to learning languages, as playing Jazz music and language acquisition are two closely related activities. 

Levi’s successful journey to fluency in the Spanish language started as a young adult. Although he had previously attempted to conquer Spanish in high school, Levi was inspired to retake learning Spanish. He applied and practiced nonstop everyday for the last 13 years. He has worked in all levels of education teaching both Spanish and English in the United States and in Mexico and has a Bachelors and Associates degrees in Spanish. 

His hobbies include continuing his Spanish language journey, improving his memory through active practice, playing Jazz music, traveling and spending time with his family. Levi is very excited to be a part of the Freestyle Languages community for the flipped model, language acquisition beliefs, and their focus on student-centered learning.
